It is timely that Sean Ollech (letter, Aug. 21) highlights the lack of student support at CNC.

I find it alarming, that Art Betke can write-off concerns with the Greenland ice-melt because of an anomaly in Africa; a higher than normal temperature that in his opinion won't happen again.

It's been some time since I waded into the issues surrounding both primary and secondary education.

Taxpayers have a message for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. "Mr. Trudeau, tear down this house!" The house in question is a century-and-a-half old, and hasn't been renovated in decades.

In law, there is a concept called a fiduciary duty. In a fiduciary relationship, good conscience requires the fiduciary to act at all times in the best interests of the person(s) who have placed their trust and confidence in them.

As per Dave Beckett's suggestion that I drive an EV (Drive electric, letter, Aug. 24), I take issue with the feasibility of actually driving an EV. Ford has not developed or produced a F-150 EV. There are no charging stations in Fraser Lake.

Daniel Dresner's laughable column in the Aug. 20 Citizen about U.S. President Donald Trump's wish to buy Greenland ignores the fact it would take a dollar value somewhere in the neighbourhood of say $23 trillion, roughly comparable to the U.S.

A statement: in support of the daily democratic demands in the streets of Hong Kong, rather milquetoast in language by western standards, to speak for the 300,000 there who hold Canadian passports.

With the next federal election just two months away, this is a first look at the party standings, top-of-mind issues and how the leaders are performing. Of course, polling numbers eight weeks out provide, at best, only limited guidance.
