Prince George has a deserved reputation as a mountain biker's heaven. On Sunday, a little piece of that paradise will finally receive protected status when Pidherny recreation site becomes officially part of the city's network of off-road trails.

A few more players would be nice. The Prince George Women's Recreational Hockey League starts its new season on Friday. Six teams are ready to hit the ice, but they do have some open roster spots.

Yes, Kevin Grigg did see a moose. Two of them, in fact. The sighting was one highlight of his day. The other was winning the Mad Moose Marathon in a record time of three hours 12 minutes 51 seconds.

It has been a long road, paved with bruises. The Prince George Gnats have traveled it for decades and have finally been rewarded with the ultimate prize. A B.C. championship.
