CALGARY -- The Northern Timberwolves are on top of the nation.
The UNBC men's basketball team trounced the host SAIT Trojans in Saturday night's final game of the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association national championship tournament. The Timberwolves were in control from start to finish and rolled to a 96-63 win.
Guards Inderbir Gill and Jose Araujo were the Trojan killers. Gill hit for a game-high 32 points and Araujo had 23. Gill was later named the tournament's most valuable player and Araujo grabbed a spot on the first all-star team.
