A sports participation program for pre-school-age children is back at the Northern Sport Centre.
Hosted by Engage Sport North, Active Star is a free drop-in introductory sport program that lets kids ages 2-5 develop fundamental movement skills and enjoy physical activity.
It runs Monday to Thursday, 9-11 a.m. Signed waivers are required.
“In addition to free play on the indoor turf, our trained leaders will engage children in games and activities that will help your child develop the physical literacy needed for a lifetime of physical activity,” said Engage Sport North sport development manager Sarah Saunders.
“Parents are welcome to participate with their children or leave children with the program staff and take advantage of everything the Northern Sport Centre has to offer.”

Also, starting on Monday, October 17, fitness trainers will be running Parent Pump, an exercise class for parents, during the Active Star program on Mondays.
