The Prince George Spruce Kings open their 30th BC Hockey League season home schedule on Friday, Sept. 26, a date at Kopar Memorial Arena with the Surrey Eagles.

Spruce Kings fans will have that marked on their calendar, but hockey is not the only reason you might want to attend that game.

The community-owned club launched its first 50-50 lottery draw of the season on Tuesday, Aug. 19 and tickets are now on sale. The winning ticket for a prize that could reach as much as $75,000 will be drawn during the third period of that Spruce-Kings-Eagles game.

Tickets are now available through the website, priced at 200 for $50, 60 for $20, 15 for $10 and three for $5.

The Spruce Kings will start their season on the road in Chilliwack on Friday, Sept. 19.

Training camp begins on Friday, Aug. 29, with preseason games scheduled for Kopar on Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7, when the Spruce Grove Saints of Alberta come to Prince George.
