Two race meets into the Prince George Auto Racing Association season, Wayne French has the early lead in the Canadian Tire street stock series.

The veteran PGARA driver holds a 19-point lead over the second-place co-drivers Danny and Chris Arronge but that margin of comfort could slip away by the end of tonight's races at PGARA Speedway.

French, driving his No. 73 car, has 123 points, compared to the Arronge brothers, who have 114. Jerry Gascon, with 97 points, and Chad McComber, with 90, are also within striking distance in the PGARA's top racing class.

PGARA's other stock car racing series are also featured on the three-eighths mile oval tonight.

In the Chieftain Auto Parts mini stock series, Nathan Linfitt, with 71 points, holds a nine-point edge over second-place Stephen Woods, while Gary Howard is 36 points off the leader's pace.

In the Tri-Par RV Rentals hornets series, Brandon Forseth is the points leader with 90, followed by Andrew Oviatt, with 69 points, and Riley Markovics, with 64.

The Northern Outlaws 4s, a pro mini stock series for four-cylinder vehicles, will also be on the track at the playground of power tonight.

It all starts with time trials at 6 p.m., and racing at 7.
