The Prince George Cougars have announced that goaltender Josh Ravensbergen and forward Terik Parascak will take part in Team Canada’s National Summer Showcase in Minnesota.
This event began Monday, July 28 and will run until Aug 2 at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.
This is Ravensberg's second summer being invited to the National Summer Showcase.
Ravensberg, originally from North Vancouver, is a fan-favourite goaltender and has recently been selected in the NHL Draft, where he was chosen 30th overall by the San Jose Sharks. This made him the highest-drafted goaltender in Cougars history
He finished the 2024–25 campaign with a 33-14-3-1 record, along with a 3.13 goals-against average.
For Lethbridge native Parascak, this is his first invite to the National Summer Showcase. Parascak has had an exceptional sophomore season with the Cougars, recording 82 points (28-54–82) in 59 games.
Parascak has also had a notable 2025 playoff run, collecting 10 points in 7 games. In addition, he was a 2024 first-round selection of the Washington Capitals.
The players will be split into two teams — Red and White — for practices and an intrasquad game on July 29, before facing Finland (July 30), Sweden (Aug. 1), and the United States (Aug. 2).
