McMaster, Jackson have fastest feet

In the longest run, Ryan McMaster was first across the line. McMaster was the overall half marathon winner in Sunday's YMCA Canadian Tire Road Race. In perfect conditions, he blitzed the course in a time of one hour 23 minutes 22 seconds.

McMaster was the overall half marathon winner in Sunday's YMCA Canadian Tire Road Race. In perfect conditions, he blitzed the course in a time of one hour 23 minutes 22 seconds. Among the men, McMaster finished in front of Mike Stone (1:27:13) and Paul Van Bakel (1:29:24).

Shar Jackson was the women's half marathon champion. Her time of 1:25:47 placed her ahead of Jacqui Benson (1:26:45) and Joanna MacLean (1:34:20).

In the 10km race, Brian Nemethy topped the field with a clocking of 37:24. Lorelei St. Rose, at 41:54, was the fastest woman.

In the 5km distance, a son and mom put up the quickest times for their genders. Alexander Nemethy completed his race in 19:17 while Wanda Nemethy finished in 22:42.
