Mann quick in national pool

The Prince George Barracudas set six club records in the pool en route to a 25th overall finish at the Canadian swimming championships in Winnipeg on the weekend. Katie Mann set four records in the women's division. She clocked two minutes 18.

Katie Mann set four records in the women's division.

She clocked two minutes 18.30 in the 200-metre individual medley and just missed the podium to finish fourth in the A final. She was also fourth in the 400 IM A final, posting a time of 4:54.26.

Mann posted a time 1:12.89 seconds in the 100m breaststroke to finish fifth in the B final and 2:32.13 to finish sixth in the 200 breast A final.

Haley Black set two records in the girls 15- to 17-year-old butterfly, winning the B final of the 100 fly in 1:01.29 and grabbing silver in the A final of the 200 fly with a time of 2:15.44.

She was also sixth in the 50m backstroke B final, clocking 30.59.

Patricia Fortier finished ninth in the 200 back B final with a time of 2:22.21.
