Makowsky duo stymies Stylers

The Northland Nissan Assault picked up its third win of the season in Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association action Monday thanks to the father and son tandem of Tom and John Makowsky.

The Northland Nissan Assault picked up its third win of the season in Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association action Monday thanks to the father and son tandem of Tom and John Makowsky.

The duo combined for 15 points in the Assault's 16-9 win over the Cowboy Ranch Stylers at Kin 1.

John collected four goals and five assists for a nine-point night, while dad Tom picked up three goals and three assists.

Josh Kelly tallied a pair of goals and added five assists, while Kyle Pacheco notched two goals to go along with three assists. Also for the Assault, Drydon Barlow scored two goals and three assists, Dom Sia picked up two goals and two assists, while Sara Sia netted her third goal of the season to go along with one assist.

For the Stylers, Matt Rochon led the charge with four goals and one assist, while Jayden L'Heureux picked up a pair of goals.

Dave Davidson collected four assists to go along with one goal, while Mark Sidhu had a goal and an assist and Brandon Daychief picked up a goal and two assists.

Tonight at Kin 1 (8 p.m.), the B.X. Pub Bandits take on the Westwood Pub Devils. If the Devils win, they will clinch first place. If the Bandits win, they will come within two points of first.
