The Caledonia Nordic Junior Racers were swift on their skis at the first B.C. Cup race of the season.

At the weekend event, held at Sovereign Lakes outside of Vernon, the Caledonia club was led by Kaia Andal and Damian Georgyev.

In the midget girls category, Andal skied to a convincing victory in Sunday's four-kilometre free technique race, placing 33 seconds ahead of her closest rival. That impressive result came one day after Andal posted a third-place finish in her 4 km classic event.

In other results, Erica Kreitz (juvenile girls) was seventh in her 5 km free technique race and sixth in her 5 km classic, while fellow juvenile skier Sage Bialuski finished seventh in her 5 km free technique race.

Other Caledonia skiers who attended the meet included Sadie Bialuski, Chloe Bialuski, Logan Sherba, Bobby Kreitz, Willard Andal, Isaak Andal, Kristian Jensen-Leblanc, Johanne Jensen-Leblanc, Sarah Beaudry and Arthur Roots.
