Gitanyow sign deal on Northwest power line

B.C. Hydro and the Gitanyow First Nation have reached an impact-benefit agreement on the $404-million Northwest Transmission Line, which puts to rest the First Nation's recent escalating unhappiness over bargaining on the project.

Manslaughter trial under way

A trial has begun for a Prince George man accused of manslaughter. Robert Oliver Nelson faces the charge in relation to the death of Darren Lee Paterson who died in on July 14, 2009 from injuries allegedly suffered in a severe beating.

Prince George city council supported the idea last night of a Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park in the city to honour Corporal Darren Fitzpatrick at the proposed location of Glenview Park. The proposal will be sent to administration for review.

Wagon circled by thieves
