The Prince George Crime Stoppers Society will be out shredding it this weekend.

A former girlfriend of Cody Allan Legebokoff testified Thursday during the trial for the young man accused of murdering a teenage girl and three women.

The search for a man missing in Ness Lake has been postponed by the Prince George RCMP. "We're hoping conditions improve or other arrangements can be made," said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass.

Lightning was deemed as responsible for more than 1,200 BC Hydro customers losing power in the northern part of the city Thursday afternoon. According to the utility, some power was restored shortly before 2 p.m.

The City of Prince George announced Insp. Warren Brown will be the new officer in charge of the Prince George RCMP detachment on Wednesday. Brown is currently commander of the Williams Lake detachment.

Work is underway to convert Fourth Avenue downtown from one-way to two-way traffic. Downtown Prince George and the City of Prince George hope the change will also help transform the retail environment along the main downtown route.
