Environment Canada issued a winter storm warning early Tuesday for much of central B.C., stretching from the North Thompson, through the Cariboo and Prince George and into the Bulkley Valley.
Heavy snow is expected to start falling this afternoon and then intensify in the evening and overnight. Before the storm moves off Wednesday night, an estimated 30 to 50 cm of snow is expected to fall in some area.
All of that heavy snow is expected to cause dangerous conditions for drivers on area highways, with reduced visibility and slippery condtions. Extreme caution is being urged on area roads and highways.
