Search and Rescue teams out of Prince George, North Peace, Quesnel and the Nechako Valley joined together for a successful training exercise on Sunday, Aug. 17.
Rescue teams were tasked with a simulated mission of finding three “lost” hikers along Willow River. One of them was located on a steep embankment along the river, requiring the use of a stretcher and a rope team to haul the hiker up the cliff.
The three hikers were found with the assistance of the swiftwater rescue team, the rope team and the RPAS (drone) team.
The Prince George Search and Rescue team thanked the Northern SAR teams that joined them.
