This weekend Vanderhoof RCMP charged two men in connection with a double homicide that took place in January 2013.
Shaun Keith Goodwin, 21, of Vanderhoof and a 20-year-old man have both been charged with two counts of second-degree murder. The second man was 17 at the time of the alleged offence and cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
On Jan. 13, 2013 Blaine Albert Barfoot, 29 and Tara Lee Ann Williams, 40, were found dead in a home.
The North District Major Crime Unit was called in to help with the investigation, the release said, "due to the circumstances surrounding these deaths."
The unit made the arrest over the weekend after "a very intense investigation," the release said.
