The Ministry of Transportation has issued 8 travel advisories on most major routes north and south of Prince George along Highway 97, and both east and west along Highway 16.
The travel advisories, issued throughout the day by DriveBC, extend south through Hixon, Quesnel, McLeese Lake, and Williams Lake. They extend north to the Salmon Valley, east along Highway 16 to Purden and west to Bednesti. Motorists are urged to not travel unless absolutely necessary.
The Prince George RCMP are also urging drivers to reconsider travel throughout the day, and are reminding drivers to pull over for emergency vehicles.
