Going for Gold is the sixth episode airing in the third season of HGTV's hit show Timber Kings featuring work done by the crew of log home creators from Williams Lake.

The show airing, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m., will showcase the reconstruction of a mineshaft, windlass and shaft house in the same spot the original ones were built 150 years ago at Barkerville Historic Town & Park.

The windlass is a type of winch which was used to raise and lower buckets into the mineshaft.

The shaft house was built over the windlass to protect from the weather and push air into the tunnels below.

"The reconstruction of our Barker & Co. mineshaft and shaft house is already a remarkable legacy for Barkerville visitors for generations to come," said Ed Coleman, CEO, Barkerville Historic Town & Park.

"We cannot thank Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia and Timber Kings enough for providing us with this lasting opportunity, and we look forward to seeing the on-screen results on February 7."
