A severe thunderstorm could be on its way.
Shortly before 11 a.m., Environment Canada issued an alert for Prince George, the Stuart-Nechako, Cariboo including Quesnel and Bulkley Valley and the Lakes District.
The event may be capable of producing large hail and heavy rain.
"Strong wind gusts are also possible. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops," the agency said. "Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads."
Stay indoors if lightning erupts, the agency advises.
