Two men and a woman were arrested and released pending further investigation and consideration of charges after multiple search warrants were executed by Prince George Mounties.
Cpl. Craig Douglass says on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, the detachment's Street Crew Unit executed five search warrants as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in the Prince George area.
The Street Crew Unit was also supported by the Serious Crimes Section and Police Dog Service as well as the North District RCMP's Emergency Response Team and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C.
The warrants were executed at residences on:
- Lyon Street
- Conveyor Street
- Simpson Road
- Isle Pierre Road
- A storage unit on Highway 97 (Hart Highway)
Douglass says a significant amount of cocaine and close to $15,000 was seized during the searches.
A 54-year-old man, 49-year-old man and 50-year-old woman were arrested at the time of the searches, but were later released pending further investigation and consideration of any charges being approved.
