Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Prince George area, calling for “intense snow” to continue through the morning, with 15 centimetres of the white stuff hitting the ground before slowing to flurries in the afternoon.
Slippery roads and highways, made worse by the fact many local residents already took off their winter tires, will make driving the morning drive tricky. Pedestrians won’t have it much better, with slick sidewalks underfoot. Poor visibility is also expected on area highways.
Please be careful out there this morning.
And some good news – the May long weekend is just a month away.
