It's time again for the Order of the Eastern Star's biggest fundraiser, the annual Sweetheart Auction and Tea, which will be held at the Masonic Lodge, 480 Vancouver St., on Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.
Guests will enjoy home-baked goodies, coffee and tea.
There will be a treat table and a live auction that will feature donations from members who have contributed handmade creations like crocheted items, sewn items and knitwear.
The members have collected donations from other community organizations like the Prince George Cougars and Prince George Spruce Kings, Harley Davidson and other local businesses have donated items like golf passes as well.
The Order of the Eastern Star is a benevolent society that contributes to the community of Prince George. They come together on a regular basis to assemble cancer dressings that are offered free to those in need in the north.
The Order of the Eastern Star works closely with the Prince George Hospice Society, and provides a comfort fund for patients at Kordyban Lodge in Prince George. To continue to do these good works, the ladies of the Eastern Star need to fundraise and invite the public to attend the Sweetheart Auction and Tea.
Advance $5 tickets are available by calling Diane at 250-564-8499. Tickets are also available at the door at noon while the auction begins promptly at 1 p.m.
