A sport utility vehicle collided with a city grader on Foothills Boulevard and Highland Drive in the Hart late Wednesday afternoon.
Police said a southbound sport utility vehicle lost control on the icy road, crossed the centre line and crashed into the machine. The SUV's driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Light rain was falling and conditions were very poor at the time, police said, and are urging motorists to drive according to conditions.
