Service at UHNBC was disrupted momentarily on Wednesday morning due to smoke from a burnt out bearing at the hospital.
Firefighters were called to the scene after smoke was reported at the hospital around 10 a.m.
Northern Health spokesman Jonathon Dyck said the emergency plan was executed smoothly. There were no injuries, patient care continued throughout the incident and any service disruptions were minor, according to Dyck.
Other than the burnt out bearing, no significant damage was reported as a result of the incident.
