A Fort St. James woman has filed a lawsuit after fracturing an ankle when she allegedly slipped and fell on a wet floor in the foyer of the Nak'azdli Chief Kwah Memorial Hall.
According to a notice of civil claim filed this week by Patricia Pius in B.C. Supreme Court in Prince George, the mishap occurred Dec. 23, 2012 during a bingo event at the hall.
She is seeking general and special damages and compensation for lost wages and future medical costs.
The Nak'azdli Whuten Band and the Ts'oodunne Recreation Society are named as defendants.
Neither of the two has yet responded to the claim and none of the allegations have yet been tested in court.
