Novice collectors now have a chance to buy, sell, or trade their goods with other collectors.
The P.G. Antiques and Collectibles Roadshow, presented by Citizen Productions, provides people with an opportunity to book a table and display their own wares. They can also browse information booths and have their treasures evaluated. Each admission fee includes two evaluations.
Onsite evaluators will have experience with particular antiques and collectibles, said Jack Ross of J C Ross Auctioneers Inc. If they come across something rare and aren't familiar with it, he said, they will get the owner's contact information and conduct additional research. They will "do their best to do research and get back to the person," he said.
The P.G. Antiques and Collectibles Roadshow takes place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ramada Hotel Ballroom. Admission is $3 for couples and $5 for families.
