The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is looking for residents to join a committee it runs as well as serve as its representative on an external board.
On Monday, July 7, the regional district posted to its website that it is looking to fill up to 12 vacancies on its Accessibility Advisory Committee and to appoint one resident to the board of the Prince George Public Library.
“With a focus on the experiences of people with disabilities, the Accessibility Advisory Committee will work collaboratively with the RDFFG Board and administration to assess and improve community accessibility and inclusion,” the website said.
“This committee seeks to improve Indigenous and other diverse perspectives that reflect the distinct interest and needs of the RDFFG’s communities and its residents.”
The terms of reference and application forms for the committee can be found at rdffg.ca/Accessibility. Applicants can be from anywhere within the regional district, though the terms of reference state that there should be a geographical mix from the various parts of the district.
For the library, the district is specifically looking for a resident of Electoral Areas A (Salmon River-Lakes), C (Chilako River-Nechako), D (Tabor Lake-Stone Creek), E (Woodpecker-Hixon), F (Willow River-Upper Fraser Valley) and the portion of G (Crooked River-Parsnip) south of McLeod Lake.

The application deadline for both the committee and the board is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28. They can either be mailed to the district’s corporate services department at 155 George St. in Prince George or emailed to [email protected].
