Although it wasn’t always sunny over the Thanksgiving long weekend in Prince George, it was still warm enough to set some new records.

Monday’s high of 21.8 C broke the record of 20.6 C set on Oct. 9, 1951.

It was even warmer on Saturday when the thermometer at the UNBC weather station in the Highland subdivision hit 23.8 C, more than two degrees above the previous record high of 21.7 C set in 1943.

Sunday’s high of 22.7 C easily broke the previous record high from Oct. 7, 1984, when it was 19.8 C.

How nice is that? The record low on Oct. 7 is -12.8 C, set in 1957.
