The Wandering Panda Tattoo Studio here in Prince George has raised a large chunk of change for the Prince George Humane Society.

The Prince George Humane Society announced on Monday (Aug. 26) they are in dire need of funding or else they will have to shut the doors to the society within the next two months.

That's when the Wandering Panda decided to step in and hold a flash day with two animal designs to choose from.

Originally, there were going to donate all proceeds minus the cost of supplies but have decided to donate the entire amount to the society.

The shop says they raised close to $1,550.

The Humane Society says it costs roughly $300,000 a year to run in Prince George, and that can vary depending on the number of animals the shelter takes in and what medical needs those animals have.

The current goal is $30,000, which will allow it to keep its doors open beyond the two-month mark.

The Change 4 Change campaign started on Aug. 26 and run for the next two weeks.

You can make a donation at the Prince George Humane Society’s location near 1 Ave. (Unit 11- 1839 Industrial Cariboo Estates) and also keep a lookout for a Change 4 Change tin in the community.
