If you’ve been having a hard time getting your groceries during the COVID-19 pandemic, want whole foods you can throw together to create delicious meals, and support local businesses then the Twisted Cork may have what you’re looking for.
The Prince George based restaurant is offering a grocery box service for pick-up or delivery inside city limits. The restaurant is offering a produce box, pantry box, and dairy box as well as sides that include pastas, marinated veg, potatoes, cheese boards, tapas platters, and marinated meats.
“Please note these meals need to be reheated and or cooked at home. Many of the menu items have been ‘par’ cooked for meals at home. Burgers, steaks and chicken will need to be cooked,” explains Twisted Cork on its website.
"If you wish to have any of the proteins marinated or marinade to be delivered on the side please specify which marinade and whether you want us to marinade or just deliver as a side."
Orders can be made anytime but Twisted Cork is offering three picks up times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 2 and 5 p.m. The restaurant will also be offering a hot Easter dinner with turkey and ham options this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Produce box $45
Onions, (one yellow, one red) 2lbs carrots, 2lbs celery, 5lbs potatoes, one head of iceberg lettuce, six roma tomatoes, one cucumber, bell peppers, 1lb button mushrooms, three zucchini, one bunch of asparagus, ½ cup of garlic cloves, ½ lb assorted fresh herbs.
Pantry box $30
2lbs all-purpose flour, 1lb quinoa, 2lbs wild rice, 4oz yeast, 4oz baking powder, 1lb panko bread crumbs, 802 Lindt chocolate, 1lb penne pasta
Dairy box $49
One dozen eggs, two litres of two per cent milk, one-litre cream, 1lbs unsalted butter, 1lbs cheddar cheese, ½ lbs parmesan cheese, 1 1lbs shredded mozzarella, 1lbs gluten-free mayo, 8 oz sour cream
