Prince George Mounties responded to two separate incidents involving thefts from vehicles early this morning (March 17) and are reminding the public to keep vehicles locked.

Just after 1:00 a.m. today, RCMP received a report of two men breaking into vehicles along the 1400-block, 20 Ave. in the Gateway.

The suspects fled on foot down Pine Street.

Frontline officers attended the area and made patrols, eventually locating the suspects were located in a trailer park on Norwood Street.

One suspect was compliant and arrested without further incident, while the other continued to flee on foot towards a nearby alley.

An officer pursued on foot, making an arrest a short time later, and found several stolen items.
