An 8 p.m. crash between a police SUV and a family sedan sent four people to hospital Sunday evening.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Winnipeg Street. The lone police officer in the SUV suffered minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital for precautionary examination; the three occupants of the impacted Honda Civic suffered non-life-threatening serious injuries and were also transported to UHNBC.
The Jaws Of Life were needed to remove one of the victims from the sedan.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
