Police are asking drivers who have dash cameras and happened to be near the Massey Drive skateboard park on Monday afternoon to help with their investigation into a suspicious incident reported at that time.
"Investigators are looking to identify the parties involved and determine where they had come from prior to the reported incident and where they went after that," Prince George RCMP said.
The request follows a report of a man driving a grey van picking up a young teenage girl shortly after 1 p.m. after stopping in the turn lane at the intersection of Massey Drive and Carney Street. The van was last seen heading north on Carney towards 15th Avenue.
Witnesses believed the girl may have been in distress and called police.
The man is described as about 50 years old, 5'10" tall, with grey hair and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a grey shirt with ripped jeans.
The girl is described as 12-14 years old, 5'2" tall, wearing a checkered tank top, and having short brown hair with blue streaks in it.
The relationship between the two is unknown at this time.
Drivers equipped with dashcams that were recording between noon and 2:30 p.m. on Monday ad were in the areas of Massey Drive, Winnipeg Street, Carney Street, the Parkwood Mall or 15th Avenue are asked to call RCMP at 250-561-3300.
