Police are on the lookout for an older-model grey minivan in relation to a suspicious incident this afternoon at the skateboard park on Massey Drive.
RCMP received a report that an older man driving the van stopped in the turn lane at the intersection of Massey Drive and Carney Street and pick up a young teenage girl.
Witnesses believed she may have been in distress.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. and the van was last seen heading north on Carney towards 15th Avenue.
The man is described as about 50 years old, 5'10" tall, with grey hair and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a grey shirt with ripped jeans.
The girl is described as 12-14 years old, 5'2" tall, wearing a checkered tank top, and having short brown hair with blue streaks in it.
The relationship between the two is unknown at this time.
"Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident and to the persons involved to ensure the safety of all parties," RCMP said.
