Local RCMP have gotten at least 11 reports since July 27 about thieves stealing coins from coin operated laundry machines from apartment buildings all over the city.
When the coins are stolen there has been significant damage done to the machines and the laundry rooms.
The crimes take place mostly late at night or early morning.
Police are looking for help to identify the person or people responsible and would like to encourage all apartment building owners and management companies to take precautions to secure and monitor the laundry rooms.
