Wanted in relation to an alleged weekend theft of two pickup trucks that led to a police pursuit, Chad Douglas Poitras has been arrested and is in custody, staff at the Prince George courthouse confirmed Tuesday.
An arrestwarrant on a charge of possession of stolen property over $5,000 had been issued for Poitras, 27, who also faces charges of driving while disqualified and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, from separate incidents, and is also facing a charge of killing or injuring an animal from separate alleged incidents. None of those allegations have yet been proven in court.
Jonathan Kyle Relkey, 22, and Ashley Susan Lynn Sampson, 19, were arrested Sunday after failing to negotiate a curve on Marleau Road in an allegedly stolen Ford F-350 while being pursued by an RCMP member, whose vehicle slid into the pickup when it hit the ditch.
