Northern FanCon has been put on hold in answer to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally set for May 8-10, it will be held September 25-27, organizers said in a posting on the convention's website.
Tickets purchased for the May event will be honoured in September but refunds will also be given to those who cannot make it to the convention on the new dates.
"Due to the volume, we expect you will receive your refund in 60 days," organizers said.
As for vendors and artists, deposits will also be shifted to the new dates or refunded, according to the posting.
"Our team was incredibly excited to see you at FanCon in May, however, the safety of the fans, artists, exhibitors, guests and the rest of the community comes first as we hope to see every single one of you for many years to come."
