Local police are enforcing a weekend shut down of the area where two teens died Sunday morning.
Prince George RCMP said they received information about plans for another graduation party to take place at Kwitzil Lake on Saturday night.
"Given the horrible circumstances that surrounded this location last weekend, we believe we must take this action in order to prevent further harm and protect these youth," said Insp. Brad Anderson, operations officer for the local detachment. "The mixing of alcohol and other intoxicants with the high emotions of last weekend's tragedy, could lead to further incidents."
Access to the area, more commonly known as Gravel Pit Lake, will be closed to everyone and RCMP are asking that ever taking part in graduation celebrations make responsible decisions while doing so.
