Houston RCMP say they have identified two suspects in connection with an arson on the Morice Forest Service Road.
They said the incident occurred sometime over Friday night and was originally reported to RCMP assigned to protecting the Coastal GasLink pipeline project.
No one was found at the scene but through the course of the investigation, evidence of an auto being taken without the owners' consent was discovered and linked to two Burns Lake men, ages 19 and 24, who were employed in the Houston area.
Their names were not provided.
Houston RCMP Sgt. Mark Smaill said the case is a priority for the detachment and added it could have ended tragically had anyone been in the building.
Charges remain pending approval by Crown counsel once the investigation has been completed.
