Fatal Strathcona Avenue fire not considered suspicious: RCMP

Two people died, while two others were taken to hospital with injuries

The fire that claimed the lives of two people in a home on Strathcona Avenue on Friday, July 25 is not considered suspicious, RCMP report.

Prince George Fire Rescue headed to the duplex on the 1400 block at about 2:25 p.m. They found flames and heavy smoke coming the front, sides and rear of the building.

Two people were found dead inside. Their names have not been made public.

Two other people were taken to hospital with injuries.

On Monday, July 28, the RCMP announced that its investigation has concluded and there are no grounds for suspicion as to the cause of the fire.
