Mayoralty candidate Bruce 'Brucefur' Fader is drawing unwanted attention for posting violent, erotic poetry online.

Fader is the co-owner, webmaster and key contributor to www.cosmicpoetry.org - a website featuring erotic video and poems.

"The terrified squeals as the crowds were herded into the Coliseum. Ah, was the scent of fear ever so sweet an aphrodisiac?" Fader writes in the poem Absolute Power. "I never could resist the heat of you... The blood of innocents still fresh upon on your hands."

Other poems by Fader on the site deal with themes like death, cannibalism, racism, the genocide in Rwanda - and even Prince George.

"A small city with big city crime, all because they chose to call it 'the Capital of the North,' and some kids bought the propaganda. It is here, in this rustic hadarah, that I will begin what God ordained for me when my first prayer was answered; ironic that my second blessing slowed me to a crawl," Fader wrote in A Strange Kind of Mecca.

"Today's smell is of success, and I can't wait to be a part of it."

Fader said he hopes voters will focus on his platform, not his

artistic outlet.

"The poetry site is completely separate from what I'm trying to do here," he said. "It's a form of artistic expression the same as painting. Should people find it thought provoking? Yes. I'm a fairly complex individual"

An erotic video featured prominently on the website's home page was put in as a placeholder, he said.

"I freely admit I made a mistake putting it in as my placeholder. It had completely slipped my mind what was on that video," Fader said.

Fader said the name Brucefur he uses on the site - a portmanteau of Bruce and Lucifer - was a childhood nickname.

"It's a nickname my grandmother gave me. She called me her little devil," he said. "I am by no means involved in the occult or anything like that."

Fader is the owner of the Delivery Ahoy! delivery service and spent 23 years working in security.

He owned a local security patrol company for five years.

The key plank of his election platform is allowing taxpayers to vote on which capital projects they wish to support on their tax forms.
