Lieutenant Governor to visit Prince George

B.C. Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon will be in Prince George next Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the culmination of a seven-day trip through northwest B.C. On Friday, Guichon will visit a spring break youth camp at Exploration Place, 11 a.m.

On Friday, Guichon will visit a spring break youth camp at Exploration Place, 11 a.m., and at 4 p.m. she will tour the University of Northern British Columbia.

On Saturday, Guichon will:

Watch the final and present medals for the Canada Winter Games' synchronized swimming at the Prince George Aquatic Centre, 11:30 a.m. start.

Attend a performance of Jake's Gift, a play about a Second World War veteran returning to Juno Beach for the 60th anniversary of D-Day, at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2 p.m. start.

Attend the CWG men's and women's team judo finals at the Northern Sport Centre, 4 p.m. start.

Present medals at the CWG women's curling final at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club, 6:30 p.m. start.

On Sunday, she will attend the CWG closing ceremonies at Agora Place at UNBC, 4 p.m. start.

Her trip begins Monday in Kitimat and will be followed by stops in Terrace, New Hazelton, New Aiyansh, Smithers, Telkwa, Houston, Burns Lake and Vanderhoof before reaching Prince George.
