National award-winning Lheidli T’enneh musician Kym Gouchie's reconciliation-themed concert documentary 'For the People' is now live.

The documentary was released, free to watch, to help celebrate National Indigenous People's Day (NIPD).

Gouchie was set to organize the National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) celebration in Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, but the event, like most large gatherings, was cancelled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To fill the void Gouchie has premiered her concert documentary 'For the People' which was recorded live a few years ago at the Prince George Playhouse. The film was documented and produced by 6ix Sigma Productions with sound and lights by Russell AV.

“I know Indigenous people everywhere will be celebrating Indigenous ancestry, history and culture in their own special way on June 21 and I wanted to contribute to that celebration so going ‘virtual’ seemed like the best option,” says Gouchie.

You can now check the whole thing out online! You can find the full concert documentary below.
