Three residents were sent to hospital for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire in a basement suite occurred on the 4400 block of Bauch Ave. Wednesday at about 5:15 p.m.
Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the call with 15 firefighters from three halls.
When crews arrived all occupants of the two suites were out of the building and light smoke was coming from the basement suite.
Crews went in and extinguished the fire started from a pot of cooking oil on the stove.
Most of the damage caused by fire was to the kitchen of the basement suite.
Crews remained on scene until all hot spots were extinguished and air quality was back to normal.
There were no injuries to fire personnel.
