The senior drama class at Kelly Road Secondary is practicing their best hillbilly accents for the upcoming production of The Beverly Hillbillies.

The play, adapted by David Rogers and based on the TV show by Paul Henning, begins at the Clampett family's mountain cabin and follows them as they discover oil, move to Beverly Hills, and encounter adventures and romance. The Clampett family's impression of "Californy" will leave the audience in stitches. There's humour in one liners and words that the hillbillies misinterpret, said drama teacher, Audrey Rowell.
