The big jackpot was finally won last night and someone in Kamloops is $35 million richer.

Sorry, Prince George. You're not a big winner but someone in Kamloops is.

After going unclaimed for weeks, the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot has finally been won. A ticket bought in Kamloops for last night's draw is worth $35 million, splitting the big jackpot with someone in Ontario.

Meanwhile, the Peace region has two new millionaires this morning.

A ticket purchased in what the B.C. Lottery Corporation identifies as Peace River South won one of the Maxmillions bonus draws worth $1 million. Another ticket bought in Peace River North also won one of the 46 Maxmillions prizes claimed in Tuesday's draw.

The area winners from Saturday's draw and last Tuesday's draw have yet to step forward. A ticket bought in Burns Lake won $1 million and a ticket bought in Prince George won $500,000 on Saturday while someone in the Nechako Lakes region won $1 million last week.
