Someone who lives in the Nechako Lakes district west of Prince George - or who bought some tickets there for Tuesday's Lotto Max draw - has a million reasons to be happy this morning.

While no one won the big $70 million Lotto Max jackpot again last night, there were eight Max Millions winners from B.C. of $1 million each and one of them is in Nechako Lakes.

The other winning tickets in B.C. were sold in New Westminister, Nanaimo, Campbell River, Vancouver, Cranbrook, Chilliwack and the rural Boundary-Similkameen region between the South Okanagan Valley and Hope.

The jackpot for Friday's draw will remain at an estimated $70 million, with 70 Maxmillion prizes of $1 million each up for grabs, for a record $140 million up for grabs in a single draw.
