The biannual Junk in the Trunk sale returns to the CN Centre parking lot this Saturday.
The huge, yard sale-like event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All 125 vendor stalls have already sold out for the popular event, which was created by the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George and REAPS to promote reuse and recycling of items, so they don’t end up in the landfill.
“This is the perfect opportunity to find new treasures. Somebody else’s unwanted stuff may be exactly what you are looking for,” Rachael Ryder, waste diversion program leader at the regional district says. As they say one person’s trash is another’s treasure.”
Tire Stewardship BC will also be on hand accepting used tires from residents.
