Halfway through the year and there have been starts on 81 new single-family homes in Prince George and area so far, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation numbers released Thursday.
That's up from 53 starts by the same point last year.
As for multiple family units, there have been 66 starts, compared to just five by the same point last year.
As for June, there were 21 starts on single family homes, six more than for the same month in 2014, and starts on 42 units of multiple-family housing, up from just two by the same point last year.
