Two men are facing one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking after Fraser Lake RCMP found 65 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of their car over the weekend.
Hoa Hung Duong, 49, and Ly Sau Phuc, 39, remained in custody as of Wednesday following their arrests on Saturday morning.
An officer had pulled the vehicle over on Highway 16 at Francois Lake Road, after noticing a defect. It originally started as a check for impaired driving, then became a Wildlife Act investigation before the marijuana was found, RCMP said in a press release.
